To help get a better idea of what would be suitable for my cover, I used Survey Monkey to create a questionnaire for my class to Identify what they would expect to see on a cover for a school magazine.

Creating Magazine Part 11:Contents page stages 6-8
Stage 6: I added the topics as well as the page numbers, however, I noticed that the black text was difficult to see on the background.
Stage 7: After changing the text colour to something easier to see, I began to add the rectangles where I placed my chosen images.
Stage 8: Once I added the first two images, I noticed how only half of the writing was in bold. Additionally, the numbers where not in line with the topics.

Creating Magazine Part 10: Deciding Fonts
When deciding what the correct font I wanted to use for my magazine cover heading. to help me I used the website "DA Font" to help me decide what fonts I would feel appropriate. here are the four fonts that stood out to me. I chose these particular fonts as they suited the style of my cover. the 2nd and 3rd fonts in particular were chosen from school fonts, the others were chosen as I liked them personally, though they may be to informal for my cover.

Creating Magazine Part 9: Example of Contents Pages
from this first example, I can see the layout is not like most contents pages. for a start, the text and images are all in a box shape or are formed to make a square. Secondly, there is no background image, just a blank white backdrop. This is made up for by the pink font used for some of the writing as well as the large lettering to fill the whole space.
Creating Magazine Part 8: Contents Page Stages 1-5
Firstly, I used effects to make the image of the school to appear to be animated. i also placed the heading in the top right hand corner.
Secondly, I placed the two sub-heading into the correct position.
Next, I began adding the page numbers which would be used to direct the reader to a certain topic

Creating Magazine Part 5: Cover Design Stages 8-13
Stage 8: In the background I added the second figure, using the same tools I used for the first person. for this I needed to remove so of the writing to get the character into the right place.
Stage 9: I decided to add to people in the foreground so I shrunk down the image and placed it in a position that suited me
Stages 10-11: once the people were in the right place, I re-added the writing as well as some new pieces of information.

Stage 4: At this point I began adding the smaller details like the date and sub heading.
Stages 5-7: I began to add more pieces of writing such as the website as well as adding the bar code in the bottom right corner.

Creating Magazine Part 2: Cover Analysis
For my first task, I looked at examples of school magazines to get an idea of what would need to be on mine. I pointed out key details such as images and headings and how the cover is laid out. Example of this above.
Creating Magazine Part 1: Introduction
My task is to create a cover for a school magazine as well as a contents page for drama. I am to use image alteration tools to help create the cover. The centre of the cover is to have an image of a student.
to begin my research, I will be viewing existing magazine covers to help give me an idea of what needs to be on mine.
